The Script - A verse

The Script

I wiped the stardust from my eyes,
And saw you standing there,
Never before had I needed your protection so much,
Now that I was standing before you so bare.

But you turned and walked away from me,
Looking over with a scowl upon your face,
Harsh and uncompassionate thoughts left your lips,
That were hard to comprehend and embrace.

Empathy and forgiveness,
Never were your biggest strengths,
To avoid offending you against slights,
I had to go to great lengths.

I always had your back covered,
But you never knew or cared,
Too stern and blind to see reality,
Oh angry one who glared.

You'd throw anyone into the lions it seems,
Just to save your own back,
Yet such a dignified career you have,
But ethics and intergrity you lack.

Gossiped and scorned me,
The bully, pretending to be the innocent victim,
Conflict and tension with your minions,
No respect the low, you just kicked them.

Autocratic and grandiose,
Sovereignity rules here,
But fragility underneath their mask,
Don' t you go too near.

Master of her castle,
Detachment, keep away,
Keep on doing her..
Performance another day.

Keep on doing your,
Performance another day,
That's right.
Keep on doing your,
Performance another day.
